This is my first post. I want to keep it easy and readable, at the same time you can get a glimpse of our activities in Kompassi. Hope you will like it.

Ok. I am at Kompassi at 8 in the morning. The day starts with smiles and hi s and hellos. The coffee time is always entertaining and educative. Not only do we cover what we have today in store, we also discuss wide range of interesting facts which we had listened on the TV or Radio or read in the newspaper. Hmm...it is a bit addictive, this thing... but it is part of our job anyway!

Had discussion with one of the new aspirant of volunteer work at Kompassi. Felt really good to discuss, as it feels always when I explain about our work and the ultimate was when the person said that, she liked the fact that she felt very welcome the way communicated with us! yey! That is how it should be, right? I mean, volunteers do such wonderful job and don't expect anything else in return except friendship and feeling of having done something good that day! If that is not noble, then what is?

I see our Welcome to Finland course going on and our teacher, always the inventive one, again has the group in a nice educative groups to better understand and learn the Finnish language. Finnish is easy I say, but many are always quick to rebut me saying, nooooo, it is not!!!! Yes, they do that "noooo" thing. I laugh and say, well each to his own! Don't psyche yourself into thinking that it is a difficult language irrespective of what others say. Finnish is as difficult as any other language in the world!

Ok, got some job done too, web pages updated, program guide updated. Made mistakes, corrected them. Discussed about the "C'mon Game on! games evening which will be held at Kompassi on the 14th of November from 16 - 19. Made plans for the advertisements, we need to get them going next week already! I have our Ladies evening coming up on the 16th of November on my mind. Have some good plans, hope they will come true. Let us see!

Our coordinator also has her hands full with work. Well, work is always good.

Evening Finnish classes are going to start soon and time for us to wind up today's work. A good Thursday I would say, but eagarly waiting for the weekend too!
